Pune: Adulterated Liquor And Material Worth Rs 7.73 Lakh Seized By State Excise Dept From Daund, Three Arrested

Pune 6th Oct 2023: The officials of the excise department of Pune region have arrested three people from Daund taluka and 20 boxes of adulterated liquor that was being transported for sale was seized. A case under relevant sections was registered in the matter.
According to the officials, the state excise department officials at Daund division had received information about the adulterated liquor being transported in the area. Accordingly, the excise team laid a trap and a vehicle carrying 20 boxes of desi liquor was intercepted. Three accused identified as Sonu Bisram Kaloshiya (22), Shahrukh Dawood Sayyed (26) and Abhijeet Dhananjay Lonkar (30) have been arrested in the case. A four wheeler and a two wheeler used by the accused have also been seized in the case.
One of the accused identified as Aniket Prakash Bhosale (36) has managed to escape from the spot and the excise officials have launched a search for him. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
