Shivajinagar, 5th June 2024: The Municipal Commissioner, Dr. Rajendra Bhosale, has taken a stern stance against officials and employees who are frequently absent during duty hours or leave the office prematurely. Dr. Bhosale has issued orders to take disciplinary action against those not adhering to their designated office hours.

Reports indicate that many officers and employees of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) have been failing to maintain their duty schedules, which are from 9.45 AM to 6:15 PM. Despite having a designated lunch break from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM, many employees extend their break or are seen frequently moving in and out of the premises during work hours. This irregularity has been causing significant inconvenience to citizens who come to the Municipal Corporation for various services and are unable to find the required officers and employees.

Dr. Bhosale has directed all department heads to monitor the attendance and punctuality of their staff closely. He emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline and ensuring that employees are present during office hours to serve the public effectively.
