Pune: Action On Illegal Paneer Factory In Wanwadi; Stock Over Rs Three Lakh Seized

Pune, 12th September 2022: On behalf of the Food and Drug Administration Office, an unlicensed factory, M. Tiptop Dairy Products, was raided and found to be making fake paneer. The stock was confiscated.

When the factory was raided, it was found that 800 kg of fake paneer had been manufactured. 350 kg of skimmed milk powder and 270 kg of palmolein oil were stored to make this paneer.

 

Taking samples for inspection from stock, 799 kg paneer worth Rs 1,67,790, 348 kg of skimmed milk powder worth Rs 1,21,800, and 268 kg of RBD palmolein oil worth Rs 39, 664, were confiscated. The total cost came to Rs 3,29,254.

As paneer is a perishable substance, the seized stock was destroyed on the spot. The said samples have been sent to the laboratory for examination. Legal action will be taken as soon as the report is received. The team of Assistant Commissioner Balu Thakur and Food Safety Officer Nilesh Khose has taken this action.

 

 

During the festive period, there is a possibility of cheating the consumers and selling low-quality food items.
