Pune: Accused Escapes From Sassoon Hospital, Was Arrested For Threatening Later Gangster Sharad Mohol’s Wife

Pune, 11th February 2024: Pune city police find themselves on high alert as one of the accused in a cybercrime case managed to escape from Sassoon Hospital, audaciously taunting law enforcement in the process. The fugitive has been identified as Marshal Louis Lilakar, a resident of Akurdi, Pimpri Chinchwad.

This incident comes on the heels of another escape from Sassoon Hospital, where drug mafia figure Lalit Patil had previously managed to elude authorities.

According to police officials, it has been revealed that Lilakar had allegedly issued threats to Swati Mohol, the wife of notorious goon Sharad Mohol who was shot dead on 5th January in Kothrud. An FIR was registered by Pune Cyber Police Station.

“The accused was arrested on February 9 (Friday). He complained of chest pain early this morning. The cyber police station staff took him to Sassoon Hospital for a check-up. However, he managed to escape from the hospital premises around 8 am. The process of registering a case regarding this incident is underway at Bundgarden Police Station. The efforts of the Crime Branch and Cyber Police Station staff are focused on tracing the accused,” informed ACP (Crime 1) Sunil Tambe of Crime Branch, Pune City Police.
