Pune: Aaradhya, Swarnika Crowned Champions at MSLTA Shaping Champions Foundation Pune PMDTA All India Ranking Super Series U-16 Tennis Tournament
Pune, 4th October 2024: Aaradhya Mhasde and Swarnika Roy emerged as the winners in the boys’ and girls’ singles categories at the MSLTA Shaping Champions Foundation Pune PMDTA All India Ranking Super Series U-16 Tennis Tournament. The event was organized by the Shaping Champions Foundation Pune under the auspices of AITA, MSLTA, and PMDTA, and held at the Shree Shivchatrapati Kreeda Sankul, Mhalunge Balewadi.
In the boys’ final, third seed Aaradhya Mhasde was leading 1-0 before his opponent Ahan Shetty conceded due to illness. The girls’ final, however, was a closely contested match. Top seed Swarnika Roy faced a tough challenge from sixth-seeded giant killer Saanvi Misra but eventually triumphed 6-2, 3-6, 6-4.
In the doubles events, Saksham Bhansali and Ahan Shetty clinched the boys’ doubles title, while Aarohi Deshmukh and Kavya Pandey lifted the girls’ doubles trophy.
