Pune: 822 new COVID patients in PMC areas today, Highest single day cases
Pune, June 27, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 486 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 822 new patients were detected while 19 patients died. Today swab samples of 3255 people were collected for COVID tests.
According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 15,602 out of which 9119 have been cured while 591 have died. There are still 5892 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 308 critical patients out of which 65 are on ventilator support.
Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said the current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 159133. Today, newly 5318 patients have been identified as positive. Also 4430 patients were discharged from hospital after being cured today. Till now 84245 patients are cured & discharged from the hospitals. There are total active patients are 67600.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 508952 across the country. Out of this, 295880 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 15685 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 197387 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
