Pimpri, 16th June 2023: Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is currently conducting an investigation into 52 rooftop hotels that have been found to operate without the required approvals.

PCMC officials have confirmed that none of these establishments has obtained the crucial no-objection certificate from the fire brigade, which is an essential requirement. The civic authority has stated its intention to demolish any structures found to be erected without proper authorization.

Currently, there are a total of 52 rooftop hotels in Pimpri-Chinchwad, as per PCMC officials. However, it is possible that there may be more such establishments. Official records indicate that none of these hotels has acquired the required no-objection certificate from the civic body.

The PCMC fire brigade has taken action by issuing notifications to the owners of the 52 identified rooftop hotels. These notifications request specific information about the legal status of their establishments. The owners have been instructed to provide documentation that proves their business has the necessary permission to operate. As per the instructions, they are required to submit at least twelve different documents to demonstrate their compliance with the regulations.
