Pune: 42nd Annual General Meeting of the ‘Association for the Promotion of Plastics’

Pune, 4th September 2024: The Association for the Promotion of Plastics (APP) held its 42nd Annual General Meeting (2023-24) at PYC Gymkhana on Wednesday, 4 September 2024. Anil Naik, President of APP, along with Pranav Belhekar, Treasurer, Sameer Kothari, Secretary, and N. Shankaraman, Vice President, were present on the occasion.

Anil Naik, President of APP, highlighted the increase in the number of member companies this year, demonstrating the organization’s progress and its commitment to the welfare of the sector. He also announced that the ‘Plasto Exhibition,’ APP’s flagship event, scheduled for 8-11 January 2025, has received a very positive response. ‘Plasto 2025’ will be held on a much grander scale at Moshi International Exhibition Centre, spanning 1,00,000 square feet, of which 70 percent has already been booked.

The meeting also reviewed ongoing preparations for ‘Plasto 2025.’ It was decided to expand the Plasto committee by including advisors, which will further benefit the initiative.

New members were welcomed and presented with certificates, bags, and pins.

A moment of silence was observed in honor of the late Radheshyam Bhattad and the late Yashwant Karve, senior members of the association who passed away this year.

The Association for the Promotion of Plastics (APP) was established in Pune in 1981. Its primary objectives are to promote the growth of the plastics and related industries, create a common platform to unite members, address common challenges of the plastic and polymer industry, and educate members on the latest advancements in plastics and polymers.
