Pune: 2481 new Corona patients in Pune district, 79 deaths
Pune, Sep 15, 2020: With the addition of 2481 fresh Coronavirus positive yesterday, the total number of COVID cases has reached 22,73,07 in Pune district. Also, 2922 patients got discharged from hospitals while 79 people died.
Dr. Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 2,27,307 patients 1,81,315 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 5222 people have died. There are still 32,132 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals, also out of 40,806, 16,933 are Home Isolated. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 95,00,96 people have been tested in the district.
The 2,27,307 patients include 1,20,757 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 64,382 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 4382 from Cantonment areas, 28,948 are from Rural areas, and 8838 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 4,930,236 across the country. Out of this, 3,859,399 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 80,776 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 990,061 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
