Pune: 14-Year-Old Boy Drowns In Canal During Swimming In Ghorpadi
Ghorpadi, 26th March 2024: A 14-year-old schoolboy lost his life after drowning in a canal located in the Ghorpadi area of Pune. The incident took place on the day of Holi, Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Paras Sachin Prasanna, a resident of Ghorpadi.
According to preliminary reports, Paras ventured into the canal in Ghorpadi for a swim, seeking respite from the scorching summer heat. Despite frantic efforts by onlookers to rescue him, Paras disappeared beneath the surface of the water, prompting immediate distress calls for assistance.
Upon receiving the distress call, firefighters sprang into action, initiating a search and rescue operation to locate the missing boy. After hours of painstaking efforts, the body of Paras was finally recovered from the depths of the canal on Monday evening.
