Pune: 12th Grade Student Ends Life After Father’s Phone Usage Reprimand
Ghodegaon, 10th May 2023: The Ghodegaon area of the Pune district was deeply saddened by a tragic incident involving the suicide of a 19-year-old girl. The young girl took her own life by jumping off the terrace of her house.
Preliminary investigations conducted by the police have uncovered that the girl was reprimanded by her father for excessive phone usage while studying, which caused immense distress ultimately leading to this devastating decision.
The distressing incident came to light on Tuesday morning when the lifeless body of the girl was discovered on the ground. She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced her deceased. The police authorities have initiated an inquiry into the matter, and the girl’s body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to gather further evidence.
According to Police Sub-Inspector Navnath Wayal from the Ghodegaon police station, the deceased was a 12th-grade student and the sole child of her parents, who work as a businessman and a housewife. A case of accidental death has been registered, and the investigation is currently underway to ascertain all the facts surrounding this heartbreaking incident.
