Pune: 12-Year-Old Hung Herself To Death; Father Investigated Before Lodging Complaint In Police Station Providing Information
Bhosari, 8th October 2024: Crime is on the rise in Pimpri-Chinchwad. Five months ago, a 12-year-old minor girl died by suicide by hanging herself after being fed up with Road Romeos in the Bhosari area. Surprisingly, it was not the police but the father of the girl who investigated and gathered the information to find the real culprits based on CCTV.
In this case, the girl’s father has filed a complaint at the Bhosari police station once finding the culprits. The Bhosari police also took immediate action and arrested the accused Kshitij Laxman Parad (20) and Tejas Pandurang Pathare (19).
Reportedly, the victim a twelve-year-old girl died by suicide by hanging herself in her bedroom on 6th June 2024 at around 7.30 pm. The complainant has his tea stall. But, rather than getting more sorrowful and depressed with the sudden demise of their daughter, the complainant started investigating himself. He started checking the CCTV and conducting an inquiry in the area.
Meanwhile, a note with the mobile number of the accused was found in the pocket of the twelve-year-old girl. It then came to light that the accused used to stalk, chase the girl, and harass her. Alleging that she was being sexually harassed, her parents lodged a complaint at Bhosari police station on Saturday (5 October).
Accordingly, the Bhosari police have also immediately registered a case and arrested both Kshitij Laxman Parad and Tejas Pandurang Pathare.
There is a need to increase police patrolling in Pimpri-Chinchwad. Frustrated citizens expressed that strict action should be taken against Road Romeos roaming around colleges and schools. In reality, however, the police do not seem to be taking such action. Road Romeos chase girls and harass them without any fear of the law and police.
