Pune, 12th May 2023: 10 new electric Shivai buses have arrived at Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation’s (MSRTC) headquarters in Pune. However, there is no certainty about which route these e-buses will run and which stations will be given to them.

The second phase of electric Shivai buses has started arriving in the MSRTC. The first bus of the second phase arrived on 24th April. This bus will run on the Pune-Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar route. The administration is planning to bring more such buses.

The first bus was inspected by Yamini Joshi, Deputy General Manager of MSRTC when the bus arrived in Pune. Also, these newly arrived buses will join the MSRTC only after passing all formalities in the RTO office, informed Transport Officer Kailas Patil. This bus runs 300 kilometers on a single charge.

The bus will have an announcement system in front of the driver along with seven CCTV cameras. It will also have enough space for passengers’ luggage and a panic button facility. Facilities like foot lamps and reading lights near each seat along with powerful AC, TV for passengers, and electric lights board for information about stops are installed in the bus.
