“ProTech 2023” Hosted by Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune
Pune, 09 May 2023:- Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune (SIT), hosted “ProTech 2023 – A Project and Idea Competition” for final year undergraduate and diploma students of engineering.Pro-Tech has been organized for the last four years and has taken the shape of a popular national-level competition attracting students from all over the state.
The Chief Guest Mr. Vishwas Vaidya, an Industry Innovation Consultant along with Dr. Ketan Kotecha, Director, of Symbiosis Institute of Technology inaugurated the event. The event saw the participation of about 250 students (96 teams) of which 190 were diploma students and 80 were final-year engineering graduates. Most of the participants were from Nashik, Pune, Mumbai, Ahmednagar, and Satara.
Many projects have addressed social problems and the engineering solutions as well. It includes wastewater treatment to reduce water scarcity problem, use of automation and AIML to improve the efficiency. Innovative projects dealing with hydrogen production, and hybrid electric were showcased at the competition. The project also consists of a poster competition where new-age ideas were presented.
