Professional Drama Competition ‘Soyare Sakal’ got the first prize

Mumbai, May 30,2019: ‘Soyare Sakal’ of Bhadrakali Productions Institute, won the first prize of Rs 7.50 lakh in the final of 31st Maharashtra State Marathi Professional Drama Competition, informed The Directorate of Cultural Affairs through a press release.

The results of the final round of the competition organized by Directorate of Cultural Affairs are as follow

The drama ‘Hamlet’ created by Jigisha and Ashtavinayak, Mumbai got the second prize of Rs 4.50 lakh while ‘Aranyak’ by Advait Theaters, Mumbai won the third prize of Rs 3 lakh in the competition.

For the direction, Chandrakant Kulkarni recived the first prize Rs.1.55 lakh for the ‘Hamlet’. Aditya Ingle for ‘Soyare Sakal’ and Advait Dadrkar for ‘Eka Lagnachi Pudhachi Goshta’ got the second prize Rs.1 lakh and third prize Rs.50 ,000 respectively.

In the category of drama script writing,once gain ‘Soyare Sakal’ stood first. Dr. Samir Kulkarni won the first prize of Rs.1 lakh for the play.

While second prize of Rs 60,000 went to Ratnakar Matkari for the drama ‘Aranyak’ and third prize of Rs. 40,000 recived by Digpal Lanjekar for the drama ‘Operation Jatayu’.

For the best Light System,Pradip Mule won the first prize of Rs. 40,000 and second prize of Rs 30,000 for the play ‘Hamlet’ and ‘Soyre Sakal’ respectively .Third prize of Rs.20,000 claimed by Shital Talpade for the play ‘Aranyak’.

For the Set Design, Once gain Pradip Mule got the first prize of Rs.40,000 and second prize of Rs. 30,000 for ‘Hamlet’ and ‘Soyare Sakal’ respectively and third Prize of Rs.20,000 claimed by Sandesh Bendre for the drama ‘Operation Jatayu’.

In the category of music direction, first prize of Rs. 40,000 received by Rahul Ranade for ‘Hamlet’. Second prize of Rs.30,000 for ‘Soyare Sakal’ and third prize of Rs 20,000 for ‘Aranyak’ won by Ajit Parab and Kaushal Inamdar respectively.

For the best costume: Geeta Godbole got the first prize of 40,000 for ‘Soyare Sakal’ while second prize of Rs 30,000 claimed by Pradip Mule for the play ‘Hamlet ’and Megha Jakate got the third prize of Rs. 20,000 for ‘Aranyak’.

In the part of Make up, first prize of Rs 40, 000 for ‘Soyare Sakal won by Sachin Warik and Ullesh Khandare claimed second prize of Rs 30,000 and third prize of Rs 20,000 for ‘Hamlet’ and ‘Aranyak’ repectively.

In the very special category of Best Actor, Bharat Jadhav for ‘Once More’ , Prashant Damle for ‘Eka Lagnachi Pudhachi Goshta’, Sumit Raghavan for ‘Hamlet’, Umesh Kamat for ‘Dada Ek Good News Ahe’, Satish Rajwade for ‘A Perfect Murder’ got silver medal and Rs. 50,000.

For best actress, Aishwarya Narkar for ‘Soyare Sakal’, Tejashri Pradhan for ‘Tila Kahi Sangaychay’ , Hruta Durgule for ‘Dada Ek Good News Ahe’, Pratibha Matkari for ‘Aranyak’ , Madhuri Gavli for ‘Epic Gadbad’ won silver medal and Rs. 50,000 for the their best performance.

Total 10 professional drama presented in the competion held at Dinanath Mangeshkar Theater, Vile Parle and Prabodhankar Thakre Natyamandir, Borivali, during 6 to 20 May.

Arvind Audhe, Vilas Ujwane, Devendra Pem, Amita Khopkar and Sheetal Shirsagar shoulderd the responsibility of judges for the competition. Vinod Tawade, Cultural Minister, congratulated to all the winners.
