Private Helicopter Crashes Near Paud in Pune District; Captain Among 4 Injured

Pune, 24th August 2024: A private helicopter crashed near Paud in Mulshi taluka of Pune district earlier today. The helicopter, belonging to a private aviation company Global Hectra, was en route from Mumbai to Vijayawada when the incident occurred on the bank of Mula river near Garva Vatanemala Agro Tourism Mulshi.

According to Pune Rural Superintendent of Police Pankaj Deshmukh, four people were on board the helicopter at the time of the crash. The captain sustained injuries and has been hospitalized, while the other three passengers are reported to be in stable condition.

Those onboard the helicopter include Anand (Captain) and Dir Bhatia, Amardeep Singh and SP Ram.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash, and further details are awaited.
