Private Bus Collides with Multiple Vehicles in Pune’s Kothrud Area; Two Persons Critically Injured

Kothrud, 24th July 2024: A bizarre accident occurred in the Kothrud area of Pune, where a private bus crashed into 4 to 5 vehicles, leaving two individuals critically injured.

The accident, which took place around 8.30 pm on Tuesday near Vanaz Metro Station, resulted in significant damage to two motorcycles, an auto rickshaw, and a private four-wheeler passenger vehicle. Among the injured is a young man who sustained severe injuries in the collision.

Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene to provide assistance to the injured and clear the wreckage.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 3) Sambhaji Kadam said, “The injured persons are undergoing treatment at a hospital. We have detained the bus driver, Balu Balasaheb Thorat, a resident of Chinchwad. Further investigation is ongoing.”
