Pune, 6th April 2023: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Yellow Alert warning for the Pune district and surrounding areas due to convective development in the atmosphere resulting from erratic winds and moisture incursion from the Bay of Bengal. In addition, rising temperatures during the day have added to the concerns. The Yellow Alert is effective from April 6 to 8, with people being advised to avoid standing under trees during rainfall.

On April 7 and 8, the sky will remain cloudy with the possibility of light rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds. The IMD has advised people to exercise caution and remain indoors during such weather conditions. The heightened risk of lightning during thunderstorms poses a potential danger to public safety, and appropriate precautions should be taken.

Looking ahead, between April 9 and 10, the sky is expected to remain clear but may become cloudy in the afternoon or evening. Residents are advised to stay updated with the weather forecasts and be prepared for any changes in the weather conditions.
