Policeman’s Death: Pune Police To Register Culpable Homicide Case Against Accused In Hit And Run Case

Khadki, 8th July 2024: Additional Commissioner of Police Praveen Patil said that a case of culpable homicide is being registered against the accused who hit the motorcycle of two policemen on patrolling duty.

A hit-and-run accident in the Bopodi area of Pune resulted in the death of a policeman and left another seriously injured. The incident occurred at 1:40 a.m. under Harris Bridge on the old Pune-Mumbai highway.

The two victims, beat marshals from the Khadki police station, were patrolling on their two-wheeler when a speeding car hit them. The driver of the vehicle fled the spot immediately after the collision.

Policeman Samadhan Koli died instantly due to the impact. His colleague, Sanjog Shinde, suffered severe injuries and was taken to Ruby Hall Clinic. “Shinde is in stable condition and is receiving medical treatment”, Add CP Patil informed.
