Pune: Police Release Sketch of Suspects in Bopdev Ghat Gang-Rape Case, Manhunt Underway
Kondhwa, 4th October 2024: A 21-year-old woman was gang-raped by three men in the Bopdev Ghat area of Kondhwa, a shocking incident that has sparked widespread outrage in the community.
According to the police, the incident came to light early Friday morning, causing a large crowd to gather outside the Kondhwa police station after the complaint was filed.
Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma, addressing the media, confirmed the assault. “A young woman was sexually assaulted by three men at Bopdev Ghat. We were alerted about the crime this morning, and a case has been registered. Ten teams have been dispatched to track down the accused,” said Sharma.
The police have already prepared a sketch of the two suspects based on the victim’s description. Authorities have appealed to the public for any information that could lead to the arrest of the attackers.
