Police Investigate Discovery of Gelatin Sticks in Wadki Village, Pune

Loni Kalbhor, 24th June 2024 – In a concerning development, 67 gelatin sticks, commonly used in explosives, were unearthed in Wadki village near Dive Ghat in Pune. The discovery prompted immediate action by the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squads (BDDS), who secured the area following their retrieval.

The gelatin sticks were found in the Gawdara settlement of Wadki village, located along the Hadapsar-Saswad road. Local residents alerted authorities upon spotting the sticks near a mountain close to the settlement, leading to a swift response from the Loni Kalbhor Police and subsequent involvement of the BDDS for investigation.

A case has been filed against those responsible for this potential threat to public safety. The Loni Kalbhor Police are actively investigating the incident, considering the serious implications of gelatin sticks, which are primarily used in activities such as mining and construction.
