PMRDA Begins Road Repairs from Sancheti Chowk to University Chowk in Pune
Pune, 2nd September 2024: The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has begun road repair work from Sancheti Chowk to Savitribai Phule Pune University Chowk in Pune. PMRDA Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase instructed an immediate inspection of the road and the initiation of repairs. The road between Sancheti Chowk and University Chowk is in poor condition, with potholes causing difficulties for motorists. Following complaints from drivers, Dr. Mhase convened a meeting and ordered urgent repairs.
Engineers from Pune IT City Metro Rail Limited (PITCMRL) and PMRDA inspected the site and started the repair work. The road was first levelled and cleaned before potholes were filled, and asphalting and concreting were completed by two teams. The PMRDA administration stated that the work will proceed in phases over the next few days as needed.
