PMC To Spend Rs 7 Crore To Replace Stormwater Line Damaged During Pune Metro Work
Pune 15th July 2023: The ongoing work of the Pune Metro has damaged stormwater lines at many places across the city, claimed the Pune Municipal Corporation officials. In one such incident, a stormwater line between Regional Transport Office (RTO) and Bund Garden was damaged for which the PMC will now have to send around Rs 7 core to replace it.
Though officials say that the money will be later claimed from Maha Metro, the PMC will now be spending it from its fund. The officials have claimed that the damaged stormwater lines have caused waterlogging in many parts of the city.
According to reports, the Metro officials have denied the allegations claiming that the Metro work was conducted in the middle of the road while the stormwater lines are placed on the corners of the road.
