PM Modi to Inaugurate Underground Pune Metro Route from Shivajinagar to Swargate
Pune, 14th September 2024: The metro work on the Shivajinagar to Swargate underground route has been completed, and the extension from Swargate to Katraj has received approval. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the underground metro route and the new extension on 27th September. Officials have also confirmed that the PM will address a gathering at SP College ground.
On Wednesday, 11th September, the Chief Secretary conducted a video conference with the Divisional Commissioner to discuss preparations for PM Modi’s visit to Pune. Following this, on Thursday, 12th September, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Chandrakant Pulkundwar convened a meeting with officials from various departments to ensure smooth coordination.
A follow-up meeting is expected after the tour’s schedule is finalized, during which the final preparations will be reviewed, and the event plan will be confirmed.
