Delhi, 1st February 2024: In a groundbreaking development geared towards revolutionizing India’s transportation landscape, the PM Gati Shakti initiative has delineated three crucial railway corridor programs within the framework of the Interim Union Budget 2024-25. These strategic programs, focusing on energy, mineral, and cement corridors, port connectivity corridors, and high-traffic density corridors, are poised to significantly elevate logistical efficiency while concurrently driving down operational costs.

Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman, presented the budget in Parliament today, underscoring the government’s commitment to ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Vishwas.’ Embracing a comprehensive national approach encapsulated in “Sabka Prayas,” the budget allocates resources for a transformative initiative – the conversion of 40,000 regular rail bogies to adhere to Vande Bharat standards.

This ambitious move aligns with the broader vision of inclusive development, placing a keen emphasis on the modernization of rail infrastructure.
