Pimpri Chinchwad: Youth Arrested for Molesting Girl in Bhosari MIDC Area

Pimpri Chinchwad, 25th June 2024: A youth has been arrested by Pimpri Chinchwad Police for molesting a girl in the Bhosari MIDC area. The complaint alleges that the youth physically assaulted, behaved inappropriately, and threatened the girl. The incident occurred on Monday, 24th June, around 2:45 PM.
A 31-year-old woman from Bhosari filed a complaint at the MIDC Bhosari Police Station. Gaurav Raju Walunj, 23, a resident of Gawali Matha, Bhosari, has been arrested, and a case has been registered under IPC Sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354A (sexual harassment and punishment for sexual harassment), 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault, or wrongful restraint), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation).
According to police reports, the accused forcibly entered the woman’s home and tried to coerce her into having sex with him. He reportedly said, “I like you very much,” and when the victim resisted, he grabbed her face, strangled her, and inflicted scratches on both her hands. While leaving, he threatened her, saying, “If you mention this incident to anyone, I will kill you.” MIDC Bhosari Police are investigating the matter further.
Man from Ahmednagar Threatens Acid Attack in Chikhali
In another incident between January and June this year, an individual sent obscene messages via the social media account of a person’s nephew in the Chikhali area, threatening to throw acid at the complainant’s wife and daughter. Narendra Sonawane, 39, from Ahmednagar, has been identified as the accused. Sachin Babu Sonawane, 39, also from Ahmednagar, filed a complaint at the Chikhali Police Station, leading to the registration of a case. Digvijay Aabu Sonawane, 19, from Ahmednagar, was also named in the complaint.
The accused allegedly posted lewd and abusive messages about the complainant’s wife and daughter on the nephew’s social media account. The threats escalated to include murder, acid attacks, and the sending of explicit photos. Chikhali Police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
