Pimpri Chinchwad: Water Tank Collapse in Bhosari Kills Three, Several Injured
Pimpri, 24th October 2024: Three people have died, and six to seven workers are seriously injured after a water tank collapsed in Bhosari, Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune. The injured have been rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The incident occurred around 8 a.m. today.
The tragedy took place in Sadguru Nagar, Bhosari, where a water tank, built at a height of 12 feet to supply water to laborers living in a nearby camp, suddenly collapsed. Several workers were bathing under the tank at the time of the collapse.
Three workers were killed instantly, while six to seven others sustained severe injuries and were immediately admitted to a private hospital for medical care.
Authorities are investigating the incident, with initial reports suggesting that the water tank was poorly constructed, which may have led to the collapse. Further updates on the condition of the injured workers and the investigation are awaited.
