Bhosari, 17th October 2024: Yesterday, in a campaign for the upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Bhosari’s sitting MLA, Mahesh Landge from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), held a meeting at the Mahesh Landge Sports Foundation grounds in Bhosari Gaonthan. Following the meeting, he addressed a crowd and adopted an aggressive stance, responding to allegations from the opposition, who had claimed, “We feel ashamed to live in Bhosari.”

Recently, remarks and banners put up by the opposition criticized Landge for the current state of Bhosari. Addressing this, MLA Mahesh Landge stated, “What did I do in 10 years? I will tell those who ask this question. The penalty tax was completely waived, and you and your family are the beneficiaries. So far, I have not named anyone, but now I will. Who will name them publicly and reveal how many penalties have been forgiven for them? You claimed to be ashamed to live in Bhosari, but this has hurt the self-respect of us Bhosarikars. I would have let it go, but defaming the name of my Bhosari village is unacceptable.”

MLA Mahesh Landge further said, “We are in politics. You can disgrace me but don’t stoop to this level. Don’t defame the place we live in or the culture and values we grew up with. We must respect Bhosari wherever we speak. Bhosari is my pride. If anyone insults my self-esteem, I will respond accordingly.”

“Dirty politics is being played to win elections. In the soil of Bhosari, we raise wrestlers who can take on opponents, not backstabbers. I, too, feel ashamed that people like you were born in Bhosari,” MLA Mahesh Landge added.
