Pimpri Chinchwad: Man Commits Suicide After Allegedly Attacking Girlfriend At Hotel
Pimpri, 10th October 2024: A man allegedly attempted to kill his girlfriend before taking his own life. The Pimpri police learnt about the incident at Hotel Raj Plaza in Kharalwadi around 4:30 PM.
The suspect, identified as 34-year-old Nitesh Naresh Minekar from Yerwada, was found dead. Meanwhile, his 28-year-old girlfriend sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit of a local hospital.
According to police, Minekar arrived at Raj Plaza around 4 PM and booked a room. Shortly after, a fierce argument broke out between the couple. Concerned by the commotion, the hotel manager called emergency services by dialing 112 and reported the situation. When the police arrived and knocked on the door, Minekar initially claimed he would open it. However, after a prolonged wait with no response, the officers forced entry into the room.
Upon entering, authorities discovered Minekar hanging and the young woman lying in a pool of blood.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing. The injured woman remains in critical condition and is receiving medical care at Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital.
