PCMC To Implement ‘Pay and Park’ Policy From 1st March 2021

Pimpri, February 7, 2021: The standing committee of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has permitted to implement revised parking policy in the city. It will be effective from March 1, 2021.

To solve the problem of undisciplined parking in the PCMC limit, the civic body has come up with the new parking policies for which 6 zones have been made and paid parking will be implemented in these areas.

Rates for two-wheelers parking is Rs 5, for four-wheelers and tempo it will be Rs 10, for minibus Rs 25 and for truck, private vehicles it will be Rs 100. Day and night parking charges are also decided for a year. The work order will be soon issued to an agency and the actual implementation will begin from March 1st.

Parking charges will be applied in the following areas :
Zone 1: Nigdi-Walhekarwadi spine road, Pune-Mumbai old highway, Tilak Chowk to Big India Chowk, Both side near Akurdi, Pimpri, Chinchwad, Kasarwadi, Dapodi railway stations.

Zone 2:  Walhekarwadi road, Chinchwad station-Hinjewadi toad, Kalewadi Phata to Empire estate road.

Zone 3: KSB Chowk, Empire estate to Dehu-Alandi Road, Spine road

Zone 4: Thergaon Phata-Prasundham link road, Thergaon Gaothan road, Aundh-Ravet road

Zone 5: Telco road, Nashik Phata to Moshi Road

Zone 6: Bhakti-Shakti Chowk, under the flyover and all the auditoriums and empty spaces.
