PCMC Reduces COVID Treatment Bills Of People By Rs 3.24 Crore

Pimpri, December 30, 2020: Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal corporation (PCMC) deducted ‘extra’ amount charged by various private hospitals for covid -19 treatment. Amount of Rs 3.24 crore was deducted from 2031 bills after the audit by PCMC. 

After receiving complaints regarding ‘extra charges’ in the bill from people at private hospitals, the administration ordered to audit the bills. The Audit Department of PCMC has checked 29 private hospitals Pimpri Chinchwad. 

The officials audited 2,333 bills between the period of 13 July to 1 November from those 29 hospitals. Out which extra charges of about Rs 3 crore was deducted from 2031. The total amount of these bills is 13.23 crore. We are planning to take actions against the hospitals, said by the officials. 

      

Here are the hospitals: 

D Y Patil hospital in Pimpri has submitted 249 bills, amount deducted from all.

Sterling Hospital in Akurdi submitted 253 bills out of which amount deducted from 132. 

101 bills were checked from Aditya Birla hospital out of which amount deducted from 100 bills.
