PCMC Begins COVID Vaccination Program For Over 20,000 Industrial Workforce
Pimpri, 2 April 2021: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has initiated a vaccination program for the industries, as it has always been known as an industrial hub.
Through this program, PCMC is aiming to reach out to 20,000+ industrial workforce. The employees of Tata Motors were the first beneficiaries of the vaccination program and PCMC is planning to vaccinate another 5,000+ employees through this.
The CSR wing and medical units of these industries are playing a crucial role to make this initiative successful, said PCMC Commissioner Rajesh Patil.
According to PCMC, yesterday 2113 new Coronavirus Disease (COVID19) patients were reported in PCMC areas. Also, 1161 people got discharged from hospitals while 15 people died.
The total number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 1,42,251 out of which 1,21,483 have recovered while 2018 have died. 3360 active patients are still undergoing treatment.
