Passenger Travelling To Srinagar From Delhi Boards Pune Flight, Airline Too Fails To Verify Ticket And Allows Her Travel
Pune 2nd August 2023: In a shocking incident reported with a passenger travelling from Delhi to Srinagar when she mistakenly boarded the Pune bound flight of Spicejet and even the airline failed to stop her as the incident came to light only after she reached Pune Airport.
The incident took place on Monday when Wasifa Jan accidently boarded the wrong flight from Delhi Airport. Interestingly, even the airline officials did not stop her and let her board the flight despite not having the ticket to board the flight to Pune Airport. The woman passenger crossed multiple checking points at the airport and managed to reach the aircraft.
However, when she realised the mistake after arriving at the Pune Airport, she reached out to the airline officials who were also shocked. The airline later arranged her return to Delhi and arranged her travel to Srinagar from there on the same day.
The incident raised eyebrows of many as this is considered a major security lapse at a very sensitive place like airport where a passenger has to undergo multiple security checks.
