Parinaam Foundation honoured as India’s Best NGO’s to Work for by Great Place To Work ® Institute 

Bengaluru, 12 December 2016: Parinaam Foundation, a leading non-profit organisation focused on providing social support to urban and semi-urban poor families has been recognised as one of ‘India’s Best Non-Governmental Organisations to work for’ by Great Place To Work® Institute.

Fifteen NGO’s undertook the Great Place to Work assessment this year and were evaluated on the organizations’ people management practices and a comprehensive employee survey. Parinaam Foundation has ranked amongst the Top 5 NGO’s for the second consecutive year.

A strong work culture, characterized by high levels of trust and camaraderie among employees has enabled Parinaam to achieve this recognition. Employee centric HR policies at Parinaam bring in employee satisfaction, commitment and engagement in the workplace. Parinaam looks at hiring talent from two aspects, the Person-job fit; and Person-organization (culture) fit.

Parinaam Foundation is supporting Ujjivan to work towards financial inclusion of its customers through Diksha Financial Literacy Program. In the last ten years, Parinaam has enrolled 4, 50,120needy customers to Diksha. By 2020 Parinaam aims to reach one million beneficiaries through its education, healthcare, community development and financial literacy interventions.

Parinaam Foundation is also helping the underprivileged to receive their Aadhaar Card by organising Aadhaar enrolment camps. Recently Parinaam organised six Aadhaar camps in the country, completing a total of 312 registrations.

Commenting on Parinaam’s Aadhaar enrolment initiative, Mr. Nandan Nilekani, Former Chairman, UIDAI, said, “I am happy that Parinaam Foundation has contributed to getting an identity to those left out, by organising Aadhaar enrolment camps. The beneficiaries who Parinaam work with have no identity proof or access to a bank account. An Aadhaar number will enable them to get a bank account and access to various entitlements and benefits. Parinaam should continue this work to ensure that more Indian residents get an Aadhaar number.”

Parinaam Foundation has helped 1, 36, 241 customers to open their bank accounts. The Foundation educates them to negotiate debt, understand the mechanics of loans and the use of bank account facilities such as ATMs, SMS alerts and cheque books. The education imparted has helped millions of customers to have seamless banking experience, especially in the last few days for exchange of higher denomination currency notes.
