Over 42,000 Students Enrolled in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad Colleges in First Round of Admissions

Pune, 10th June 2024: In the first round of college admissions under the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), a total of 42,417 students have enrolled in class 11th. The admissions commenced on 5th June. Out of 83,284 registered students, 76,734 have filled and locked their forms. Online verification has been completed for 31,490 registration requests, with an additional 34,041 verified by Guiding Centers.

Under the first regular round of admission, students have until 16th June to register their preferences for a minimum of one and a maximum of ten colleges in Part 2 of the application form. Notably, there is a trend towards selecting convenience colleges during the CAP college preference registration.

For quota admissions, 5,508 students have applied for junior college preferences. A total of 1,19,890 admission seats are available across 343 colleges, with 93,395 seats available under CAP and 26,495 under quota.
