Ola Electric Reveals Future Scooters, Bikes, and AI-Powered OS Updates

Pune, 16th August 2024: Ola Electric, a prominent electric two-wheeler manufacturer, made significant announcements on 15th August 2024, unveiling future scooter and bike models along with advanced technology updates. At an event held on India’s Independence Day, the company showcased its upcoming vehicles and introduced Move OS 5, an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered operating system update. These developments are expected to enhance the electric vehicle (EV) experience for customers, providing a glimpse into the future of Ola’s product offerings.

Ola Electric’s founder, Bhavish Aggarwal, announced the launch of the S1 Sports scooter and the introduction of new models in the premium scooter segment, including the S2 City, S2 Tourer, and S2 Sports. The bike segment will see the launch of the S3 Adventure and S3 Grand Tourer. These models are designed to cater to a diverse range of customers, from urban commuters to adventure enthusiasts.

In addition to new vehicle models, Ola also unveiled the Move OS 5, the company’s fifth operating system release in three years. The new OS includes advanced features such as Ola Map, group navigation, location sharing, a navigation widget, and EV-friendly routes. These enhancements aim to improve the overall driving experience, with smart charging, smart park, and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) capabilities. The Move OS 5 update is expected to increase the range of Ola’s EVs by three percent and reduce public charging time by 15 percent.

Furthermore, Ola introduced its Gen 3 platform, which will be integrated into all future scooters and bikes. This platform will utilize the new 4680 Bharat Cell battery, designed with high safety standards to enhance vehicle performance and reliability. Bhavish Aggarwal emphasized that these innovations underscore Ola’s commitment to advancing electric mobility in India.
