NSS Unit sends Sanitary Pads to African Coutry

The National Service Scheme(NSS) Unit of MCE Society’s Abeda Inamdar Senior College sends  Sanitary Pads for supporting the girls of ‘Malawi’ , an underdeveloped country in the southern region of Africa , aimed at bringing these girls back to school. These pads are contributed by  the students of Azam Campus. It was in collaboration with an International NGO – ‘Global Futures Network’ which works towards sustainable development.

 

The Program was presided over by   Dr Nehaal Mayur(United Nations Officer) . Principal Dr Shaila Bootwala , Program Officers Mansura Mulani , Shabana Shaikh and Dr Rahul More.Event Coordinators Asst.Prof Uzma Ayub Sarkhot , Asst.Prof Raisa Shaikh, GFN Team member Tasneem Sayyed , Student volunteers Darman Billal Shaikh and Adnan Parsa were present.

 

Rotarian Satish Khade gave an informative lecture  , Prof. Ishrat Shaikh spoke about the importance of NSS and Dr Jyoti Sontakke spoke about Menstrual Hygiene. Dr.Nehaal Mayur had an interactive session with the students to sensitize the students about the various social challenges and how to stand up for their rights.
