Now PMPML Buses To Run Till 10 pm Everyday

Pune/Pimpri, October 11, 2020: Rising demands of extending bus timings have forced the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) to stretch the bus services till 10 pm.
Currently, PMPML rounds are also less as the bustle in the city cools down after 7 pm. As shops and businesses’ timings have been extended till 9 pm, PMPML has decided to serve their customers till 10 pm.
As many as 7000 round trips are covered by the PMPML, with an average of 1,70,000 passengers commuting every day. However, in the last two days, the passengers’ number has gone up from 165,000 to 1,80,000.
The PMPML administration has increased the number of buses by 100 in the last two days, with a total of 510 buses plying on different routes. “As the shops will be open till 9 pm, passengers need to be served till then. PMPML will also have to expand the service as per the ‘unlock’ phase”, said Rajendra Jagtap, PMPML chairman and managing director.
