No Further Lockdown Relaxations In PCMC And Pune Rural Areas Due To COVID Positivity Rate

Pimpri/Pune, 11th June 2021: Even though further relaxations have been given in the lockdown measures in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) areas, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) and rural areas will continue with the existing lockdown rules.
A decision in this regard was taken today during a meeting by Deputy Chief Minister and Pune District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar.

“PMC has 5% COVID positivity for the last one week whereas PCMC has 5.2%, so it was decided in the meeting chaired by Deputy CM that PMC will ease out some restrictions. However, the same will not be applied to PCMC and Pune rural areas. PCMC will have the same restrictions in the coming week as they are in this week”, PCMC Commissioner Rajesh Patil said.
