Pune, 21st August 2024: A significant update has emerged in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar Porsche incident. It was previously reported that the intoxicated minor driver, who caused the deaths of two young IT engineers, Anish Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta, was accompanied by two other intoxicated minors and their family driver.

The latest development reveals that a fourth minor was present at the scene and fled after the accident. Pune Police have received this information and are now investigating further.

On 19th May, the builder’s minor son, driving under the influence of alcohol, was involved in an accident that resulted in the deaths of two young IT engineers. At the time of the accident, the accused’s family driver was seated in the passenger seat, while not two, but three of his friends were in the back. When the accident occurred, the fourth minor fled the scene as a mob began attacking the minor driver.

The minor driver and his two friends, who were also intoxicated, allegedly had their blood samples swapped at Sassoon General Hospital to avoid charges of driving under the influence (DUI). However, the fourth minor who fled did not have his blood tested, and reports now indicate that he was also drunk. This aligns with public rumors and eyewitness accounts suggesting that someone from the car had escaped. Pune Police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
