Namo Maharojgar Mela to Fill Over 20,000 Vacancies Across Pune Region

Pune, 27th February 2024: The Department of Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation is set to host the Namo Maharojgar Mela on March 2 in Baramati, aiming to fill more than 20,000 vacancies across industrial and service sectors in Pune, Satara, Sangli, Solapur, and Kolhapur districts. Over 120 private entrepreneurs have already registered for the event, according to Deputy Commissioner of the Skill Development Department, Anupama Pawar.

The job fair, scheduled to take place at the Arts, Commerce, Science College of Vidya Pratishthan, Baramati, will target male and female candidates with qualifications ranging from 10th and 12th grade to graduates, diploma holders, postgraduates, ITI, and engineering degree holders.

Anupama highlighted that the Maharojgar Mela will provide information on various departmental schemes, financial support initiatives for self-employment through startups, and offerings from different corporations. The event will also feature participation from short-term training institutions, providing an opportunity for candidates interested in skill training.

She emphasized that candidates appearing for the actual interviews at the venue must bring all educational documents, passport-size photographs, application forms, and a copy of their Aadhaar card.

This job fair aligns with the government’s efforts to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers, fostering economic growth and employment opportunities in the region.
