Pune, 24th August 2021: Based on a complaint from Yuva Sena, Pune city police have registered FIR against Union Minister Narayan Rane for using objectionable language against Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

A case has been registered against Rane at Chatushrungi police station for offences under sections 153 and 505 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Yuva Sena general secretary Rohit Ramesh Kadam, a resident of Pashan, has lodged the complaint against Rane.

Meanwhile, a team of Pune Police has left for Chiplun to arrest Rane.

During the Jan Ashirwad Yatra on Monday, Rane said ‘It is shameful that the Chief Minister did not know about the year of independence. During his speech, he had to lean on his colleagues to know the year of independence. Had I been there, I would have given him a slap.’

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is organizing this Yatra for the new ministers who have joined the Modi cabinet. After this statement of Rane, Shiv Sena expressed displeasure and anger.

Shiv Sena MP from Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg Vinayak Raut said that Rane has lost his mental balance.

Earlier, an FIR was registered by Nashik Police based on a complaint from a local Shiv Sena leader.
