More than 5000 security personnel will be deployed on the day of Ganesh visarjan Pune.
Joint commissioner of Pune police Sunil Ramanand said that preventive action has been taken against 5438 people so that things move peacefully.
In all 546 Mandals will be participating in the ‘Ganesh Visarjan’ procession on Sunday.
According to police the Visrajan route has various exit routes to prevent stampede like situation.
Police teams will also focus on eve teasing and theft incidents.
People should be vigilant and immediately report suspicious objects/ activity to nearest police chowky or police control room by dialing 100 number.
Among the officers who will be on ground include Commissioner of police -1 , Joint commissioner of police- 1, Additional commissioner of police- 3, Deputy commissioner of police (DCP) – 15, Assistant commissioner of Police (ACP)- 38 , Police inspector – 55, Assistant police inspector- 262 , Police constables 2503, Border Security Force (BSF) – 3 companies, Rapid Action Force (RAF) – 1 company , State reserve police force (SRPF) – 1 company, commando teams from elite Force One and Quick Reaction team (QRT).
Apart from this there will be five teams of Bomb detection and disposal squad (BDDS), 165 CCTV cameras, 05 Ambulances, 02 fire brigade team, 12 teams of medical help, 02 team MSEB, four help centers, 3000 volunteers.
