Monkey Man OTT Release: Get Ready for Thrills on This Date
Pune, 7th June 2024: The action-packed film “Monkey Man,” directed by “Slumdog Millionaire” actor Dev Patel, is set to premiere on the OTT platform Peacock TV on June 14, after its theatrical release two months ago. With its Indian backdrop and gripping storyline, the film had a successful run at the box office, and now, action-thriller enthusiasts can enjoy it from the comfort of their homes. In India, “Monkey Man” will be available in 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray starting June 11 on digital platforms and on DVD from June 25.
“Monkey Man,” featuring a stellar cast including Sobhita Dhulipala, Sikandar Kher, Pitobash, Vipin Sharma, Ashwini Kalsekar, Makrand Deshpande, and Sharlto Copley, revolves around Dev Patel’s character seeking vengeance. The film, deeply rooted in Indian mythology with connections to Lord Hanuman, promises a thrilling experience for viewers.
Despite its global release on April 5, “Monkey Man” faced delays in India due to controversies. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) did not approve the film, citing excessive violence, intimate scenes, and sensitive depictions related to Hindu religion and mythology. This led to its postponed release in Indian theaters, originally scheduled for April 19.
