Moderate To No Rainfall In Next Two Days In Pune; Ghat Areas To See Heavy Rainfall – Yellow Alert Issued

Pune, 12th September 2024: The rains have taken a break for the last two-three days and the atmosphere is likely to remain rain-free for the next two days. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rains with the sky generally cloudy at some places. There is a possibility of heavy rain at isolated places in the Ghat areas of Pune issuing a yellow alert.

A low-pressure area is active over Northeast Madhya Pradesh. A wind discontinuity line or dronika rekha in the lower layer of the atmosphere extends from South Gujarat to North Kerala. Ghat division of Pune and Satara districts of Central Maharashtra is likely to receive heavy rain at isolated places on Thursday (12th September).

Meanwhile, the IMD has predicted the possibility of light to moderate rain at isolated places in the plains.
