MNS Likely To Contest Lok Sabha Elections From Maval And Pune Constituencies

Pune 11th Sept 2023: The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has started preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and the party is likely to field candidates from Pune and Maval constituencies. Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray is scheduled to visit the city on Tuesday and he will hold a review meeting over the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

The scheduled meeting of Amit Thackeray has sparked speculations among the political experts as according to them MNS is likely to field Amit Thackeray from one of the constituencies in Pune district. Amit Thackeray has been given the responsibility of these two constituencies by the party.

It may be noted there are three Lok Sabha constituencies in Pune district and all three are represented by three different parties. The Pune Lok Sabha seat was represented by BJP MP Girish Bapat and it is vacant after his death while Maval seat is represented by the MP of Eknath Shinde’s faction of Shivsena’s Shrirang Barne and Shirur constituency is represented by NCP MP Amol Kolhe. MNS chief Raj Thackeray held multiple review meetings in Pune in the last few months. The party has shown interest to contest the upcoming elections with full strength.
