MIT’s Team Techno Paths bag top honors at AIT Hackathon 2018

Pune: Maharashtra Institute of Technology lived up its reputation as its team Techno Paths bagged the top hours in the recently-concluded held Innerve 2018 organised by Army Institute of Technology (AIT) at their Dighi Campus.

The three-day AIT Hackathon 2018 enjoyed overwhelming participation from students from across the country. A record number of 220 entries competed against each other displaying new technologies and futuristic solutions. The event was held with the aim of promoting innovation and creativity amongst the youth and providing them a platform to showcase their ideas and technical skills. This year Innerve had more interesting and challenging problem statements than ever before. Innerve 3.0 exhilarated everyone with newer ideas, more rewards and a fun packed experience.

AIT Innerve Hackathon 2018 was centered on Smart Cities theme with an aim to start informed conversations around Smart City initiatives. Participants presented projects with focus on automation, healthcare, block-chain, AI/ML and security Apps.

In a grand finale which witnessed fierce competition, Team “Techno Paths” representing Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) emerged as winners and bagged the top prize and cash money worth Rs.1,00,000.  Their project ‘Meals on wheels’was very well receivedby judgeswhich focused on the issue of food supply while traveling.

The first runner-up prize of Rs 50,000/- each, was shared by Team “Phoenix” and Team “Happy Hearts” both from Walchand Institute of Technology (WIT),Sangali. The teamspresented projects titled ‘healthcare and blockchain’&‘IoT and blockchain’which focused on healthcare &IoT respectively. The third and final position was secured by Team “Falcons” from AIT and Team “Optimus” from SRM Chennai. Both the teams shared cash prize of Rs. 5,000 each along with electronic goodies (a keyboard and a wireless mouse). Team AIT presented project titled ‘Deepway’ focusing on blind aid whileTeam SRM presented their project ‘Optimus’which focused on ease of website deployment.

Innerve 2018 received sponsorships from leading industry names like Accops, Twilio, BTC Credit, Bluebricks, Zebronics, FortyTwo Labs, Alumni Association of AIT Pune, Budhani Wafers, Cool Bean Bags, Twisty Potatoes, and Zoomcar.  Apart from the coding sessions, Innerve also had JAM sessions and Tech Talks for the participants as a stress buster or a fun activity to keep the participants entertained and motivated.
