Kanak, who secured the 367th position in the All India Merit list announced by the UPSC, expressed his deep motivation to join the Indian Army after witnessing the Pulwama attack on February 14, 2019.

Having appeared for the NDA & NA Exam on April 16, 2023, Kanak underwent the SSB Interviews at Bangalore in June 2023. The news of the Pulwama attack, where a suicide bomber targeted a convoy of 78 buses carrying 2500 paramilitary personnel from Jammu to Srinagar, deeply impacted Kanak. He recalls hearing a young boy, who lost his father in the attack, sing an emotional poem. This poignant moment became the catalyst for Kanak’s decision to dedicate himself to the Indian Army.

Kanak, a student of Apex Careers, received guidance from Lt Col Pradeep Brahmankar and the faculty at Apex Careers. His outstanding academic record includes scoring 94% in ICSE Boards during his schooling at Wisdom World School, Wakad, and achieving a commendable 73% in XII HSC Boards after studying at Vidya Valley Jr College in Chinchwad.

In pursuit of his goal, Kanak joined Apex Careers coaching for two years, focusing on the NDA batch. He also underwent SSB Interview coaching at Apex Careers, where Lt Col Pradeep Brahmankar and other SSB expert officers provided valuable guidance.

Beyond academics, Kanak is an all-rounder with a passion for various sports and activities. He excelled as the captain of a cricket club during his 8th and 9th-grade years, later developing an interest in football during class XI. His versatility extends to basketball, badminton, chess, and a newfound interest in boxing. Kanak also enjoys reading books on mythology, playing the piano, and indulging in movies and series during his free time.

Attributing his success to his family and mentors, Kanak acknowledges the support of his father, Mr. Sachin Sahasrabuddhe, an IT professional with UBS Pune, his mother, Mrs. Kashmira Sahasrabuddhe, a pre-primary teacher at Wisdom World School, and his younger brother, Samyak, who is currently in class X. He expresses gratitude to his late grandfather and believes that Lt Col Pradeep Brahmankar, Director of Apex Careers, and the entire training faculty played a crucial role in shaping his success.

Kanak’s inspiring journey reflects not only his personal commitment but also serves as a testament to the resilient spirit of young individuals aspiring to serve their nation in the face of adversity.
