Pune, 12th July 2024: MG Motor has introduced the MG Cyber GTS, a cutting-edge concept car showcased at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This electric vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, highlighting its performance capabilities. Equally impressive is its substantial driving range of up to 510 kilometers on a full charge. The Goodwood Festival of Speed served as the platform for MG to unveil its latest innovation, the MG Cyber GTS, reminiscent of the Sebring variant of the 1968 MGC GTS, a historical winner of the 12 Hours of Sebring race.

The design of the MG Cyber GTS is characterized by striking Union Jack-like tail lamps and a minimalist front end with a distinctive light bar element, embodying a 2+2 sports car configuration. It features a rear-wheel-drive setup and an all-electric drivetrain, although specific details about its powertrain remain undisclosed. Media reports suggest it may incorporate the Cyberster’s powertrain, available in both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options. The rear-wheel-drive variant boasts a top speed of 195 km/h and produces 335 horsepower. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5 seconds, it offers a driving range of 444 km per charge. In contrast, the all-wheel-drive version achieves a top speed of 201 km/h with 503 horsepower, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and providing a driving range of 510 km on a single charge.

Additionally, MG is actively developing the EXE181 prototype, inspired by the 1959 MG EX181 Land Speed Record car, known for its incredible acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 1.9 seconds. These advancements underscore MG’s commitment to pushing boundaries in electric vehicle technology, enhancing performance, and setting new benchmarks in sustainable mobility.
