Mega Voter Awareness Mission commences from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai

Mumbai dated 2. : The Election Commission is organizing various voter awareness programs to enhance the voting percentage during the Loksabha Polls. The Mega Voter Awareness Mission commenced at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai today at the hands of the State Chief Election Officer Shri Ashvini Kumar today .

The Regional Outreach Bureau for Maharashtra and Goa under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is implementing this mission. The Director General of Regional Outreach Bureau at Ne Delhi Shri Satyendra Prakash, Director General of Western Region of the Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry Shri R N Mishra and Additional Director General of Regional Outreach Bureau at Ne Delhi Shri D J Narayan ere present on the occasion.

The program commenced with the cutting of the traditional ribbon at the hands of Shri Kumar. He flagged off the mission vehicle on the occasion. Balloons ere released in the air ith a message for everybody to participate in voting .

The Song and Drama Division also organized a street play ” One step towards Democracy and some folk music programs during the occasion. .

This mission will be implemented at Mumbai South, Pune, Nagpur, Chandrapur, Solapur, Satara, Aurangabad, Jalgaon, Dhule and Kalyan Parliamentary constituencies during
